Among the standout trends for 2026 and 2027 weddings? Exposed corsets and mock two-piece wedding dresses are leading the charge.
Exposed Corset and Mock Two Piece Wedding Dresses
While corset bodice wedding dresses are not a new trend, bridal designers are elevating this look with exposed corsets and mock two piece dress designs for a fresh twist on a classic bridal element. Corset bodices are common in bridal fashion as they provide the structure and support many brides want to feel when wearing a wedding dress.
Bridal designers are reinventing the classic corset with exposed boning, sheer panels, and elongating the corset to give the illusion that the bodice is a separate piece of the wedding dress. Many of these mock two piece dresses can give brides the best of both worlds, allowing them to have the fitted bodice paired with a more dramatic or flowy dress skirt. There were even a few designs that featured removable corset bodices to allow brides to mix and match the top with different dress skirts for a truly personalized bridal look.
