Wedding Gown Advice: How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Shoes!
Now that you've found the perfect wedding gown, it's time to find the perfect pair of shoes to go with it! Finding your wedding day shoes is a fun task, but also very challenging. What makes this process that much more challenging is that you never know what designers will be releasing that season.
"Essentially, you're at the mercy of what's available on the market and being able to find that shoe in your size. One thing that happens often that you should be aware of is that a lot of designers these days are making shoes with crystals and beautiful embellishments. What they haven't really considered is that most crystals and rhinestones have prongs, which get caught on your dress! If you're going for an embellished shoe I highly recommend making sure there are no crystals with prongs on them that way the prongs won't snag on the dress or any of the layers and cause you to trip." -Nayri, Wedding Fashion Expert
If you're questioning a white or colored shoe, go with whatever makes you feel your best! Nayri says, "My favorite thing for a wedding shoe is actually something super simple. A nude patent, something very clean that when you actually take a step and if your foot were to peak out it wouldn't be that noticeable. On the other hand, I also love something that is fully embellished!" At the end of the day, it is your personal choice and you will know what is going to work best for you. Simple, sparkly, embellished, or patent, you're going to look absolutely stunning on your big day!
"My best advice; pick a shoe that is comfortable. No one shoe is going to be able to last you the whole night unless you're extremely brave and can handle it! I usually recommend having a few backup shoes on hand." Be sure that all of your heels have the same height because it's the heel height that determines the length of your gown. If you're not going to be able to maintain the same heel height throughout the night, consider bringing platforms to make up for the height without compromising your comfort!
