As the epicenter of bridal fashion, New York Bridal Fashion Week never disappoints—and this season, the accessory trends brought the drama, the romance, and all the couture flair we adore at Lovella Bridal. Last week, we shared our favorite wedding dress trends from the runway. This week, it’s all about the finishing touches and trending bridal accessories.
Bridal accessories - veils, shoes, jewelry, hair pieces, and more - are the finishing touches that help you look and feel truly "bridal" on wedding day. Once you've found your dream wedding dress, it's the accessories that complete your look and can help you express your personality and style. Here at Lovella Bridal, we are partial to wedding veils and were thrilled to see dramatic veils featured at many designer runway shows. In addition to being style pieces, bridal accessories offer versatility as they can help transform a bride's look from wedding ceremony to wedding reception with detachable options such as bridal boleros, gloves, and removable sleeves.
Fresh from the top bridal designer runways and showrooms, we are thrilled to be sharing an inside look at the top 9 bridal fashion accessory trends that will take your bridal look from beautiful to unforgettable.
Video: 9 Must-See Wedding Accessory Trends From NY Bridal Fashion Week 2025!
If you are a bride who has found their dream wedding dress and are wondering how to complete your bridal look, you won't want to miss the top 9 must-see wedding accessory trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week. If you are ready to make your wedding gown truly your own and express your bridal style, tune in to our latest bridal fashion trends video before you begin shopping for your wedding day accessories.
Trend 1: Dramatic Veils
Veils are having a major moment, and they are anything but subtle. Think cathedral-length, intricately embroidered, embellished with lace or pearls—the longer and more ornate, the better. These veils aren’t just accessories; they’re statements. As bridal stylists, we may be a bit partial to wedding veils, but this is one accessory that elevates a wedding gown to be truly bridal and often times can seal the deal on a dress when a bride sees the full picture. Be sure to at least try on a few different veils when you are wedding dress shopping, even if you think a veil is not for you. If you are a bride looking for a dramatic wedding day style, these new designer bridal veils are the accessory for you!
Bridal Stylist Tip: Choose your wedding veil with your photos in mind. Your veil may be worn for a short time on wedding day, but it will be remembered forever in your photos and video. A cathedral-length veil creates a stunning silhouette and adds a timeless elegance you will want captured.
Trend 2: Bridal Scarves
Scarves are no longer just for chilly evenings or a snowy wintery day. At New York Bridal Fashion Week, we saw wedding scarves styled around the neck with trailing ends, adding movement and modern sophistication. Some were sleek and minimal, others adorned with detailed edging. We love the versatility a bridal scarf adds for wedding weekend looks. If a scarf doesn't fit your vibe for wedding day, it could be a perfect accessory for your bridal shower, welcome event or even added for a fun wedding reception look.
Trend 3: Detachable Straps
We love a customizable moment, and detachable straps and long sleeves are still reigning. This trend has been with us for the last few designer bridal collections and is one that is here to stay. As with many of the bridal accessory trends, they give brides a chance to customize their wedding day look and have options throughout the day to change their style. A detachable strap or sleeve moment gives brides the chance to have two looks in one without changing into an entirely new dress for the reception.
Trend 4: Boleros and Jackets
Similar to trend number 3 with detachable straps is our next bridal accessory trend and that is bridal jackets and boleros. We saw many bridal designers adding detachable jackets and boleros to their wedding dress designs, also offering brides the chance to customize their bridal look. A bolero or bridal jacket gives brides more coverage than a detachable strap or sleeve, so if you need to be more modest for the wedding ceremony, this is a great option for brides.
The new twist this year is that many of the boleros and jackets are designed to look seamless with the rest of the wedding dress. So even if they have a high neckline or long sleeves, they look as if they are part of the wedding dress. It will be a true transformation of the dress once removed - so fun for wedding day!
Trend 5: Bridal Gloves
Bridal accessory trend five is another that has been growing over the last few bridal fashion seasons and that is bridal gloves. Whether sheer, lace, satin, or adorned with pearls, gloves add a regal and vintage-chic touch to your ensemble. We’re seeing them worn for ceremonies, portraits, and even receptions. We love the variety in styles from fabric choices to glove length, the possibilities are truly endless here.
Trend 6: Bridal Sashes
This next bridal accessory trend is one that we have not seen for awhile and are glad to see it's reemergence and think it will be with us for a while. Bridal accessory trend number 6 from New York Bridal Fashion Week is bridal sashes, particularly a bold, dark colored sash. We saw many bridal designers adding black or navy blue sashes in rich velvets and satins to their dress designs. Like many of these bridal accessory trends, the sashes are often removable so that brides can change their look throughout wedding day.
Trend 7: Flower Details
Flowers bloomed beyond the gowns this season! Our next trend straight from the bridal week runways is one that we also saw trending in wedding dresses and that is floral details. Bridal fashion is in itself often romantic and floral details are popular amongst bridal fashion designers to add elegance and romance to their wedding dress and bridal accessory designs. We saw lots of flower details on bridal hair accessories such as combs, tiaras, and crowns. We also saw fabric flowers for the hair or to even be worn around the neck. Floral details were also popping up in bridal jewelry designs. The floral detailing in these bridal accessories blend beautifully in the trend of florals that we're seeing in the bridal gowns and they pair together really gorgeously.
Trend 8: Pearl Details
Pearls are still having a moment and so pearl detailed bridal accessories is trend number eight from New York Bridal Fashion Week. Pearls have been appearing in the last few seasons of designer bridal fashion and we are glad they seem to be here to stay. Now some will say that wearing pearls on wedding day is bad luck but we say to put superstition aside because pearls add such a classic and chic detail to bridal fashion.
We saw pearls featured in bridal hair accessories like hair combs, bun covers and tiaras. These were often paired with crystal embellishments for a beautiful design. We also saw elegant pearl bridal jewelry like statement earrings and necklaces.
Trend 9: Statement Pieces
Last and certainly not least is bridal accessory trend number 9 bringing all the drama: statement pieces. In both their wedding dress designs and bridal accessory designs, bridal designers were bringing the drama this season with wow factor fashion and accessories. In bridal accessories, this showed up in statement jewelry and hair accessories.
From bold bridal crowns and statement tiaras to dramatic choker necklaces and oversized earrings, statement accessories are definitely having a moment. We love a bold look for brides and these statement accessory pieces allow brides to truly customize their look and make their wedding dress their own.
From a bridal stylist perspective, you won't want to overdo it with too many bold pieces at once. We'd recommend choosing one statement piece to anchor your look, or switch up accessories between ceremony and reception for maximum impact. For instance, you could wear a statement crown or tiara with your wedding veil for the ceremony and wedding portraits and then remove those items for the reception and don a statement choker necklace. The options for accessorizing are truly endless!
