Twice a year, designers from around the world gather in New York to reveal their newest wedding dresses and accessories. The week is a whirlwind of runway shows, private showroom previews, and nonstop appointments. After the runways, our Lovella team heads straight into what are called “buying appointments.” This is where we see every piece up close, including bridal gowns, veils, sleeves, jewelry, headpieces, and more.
At these appointments we can touch the fabrics, study the craftsmanship, review the pricing, and ultimately decide which pieces we want to bring into our Glendale, CA bridal salon for our Los Angeles brides to try on.
Because all of these samples are made specifically for stores like ours, they don’t arrive immediately. Each piece is created to order and can take a few months before it lands on our racks. That’s why our brides often hear us talk about timing, pre-orders, and trunk shows. These bridal appointment events allow brides to preview or purchase items before the full collection arrives in-store.
