If you are a bride preparing to shop for your wedding dress, you won't want to miss today's bridal fashion post showcasing our favorite trends we saw at New York Bridal Fashion week this fall. If you are planning your wedding for 2024 or 2025, you won't want to miss these new trending wedding dress designs. We recently shared the top seven wedding dress fashion trends from the Fall runway shows and we can't wait to share some of our favorite new wedding dresses to help inspired brides shopping for their dream wedding dress.
To recap the new trends we expect to see in upcoming wedding dress collections, they are bows, basque waistlines, bold floral lace, portrait necklines, mini bridal dresses, silver beading, and feathers. We love these bridal fashion trends because many of them are all about the details of a wedding dress and some can be incorporated together into the same dress design. We even saw these trends in featured bridal accessories.

Before we dive into some of our favorite wedding dresses from the fall collections featured at New York Bridal Fashion Week, be sure to watch our video showing you some behind the scenes peeks of the top 7 wedding fashion trends for 2024.
Bridal Fashion Trend 1: Bows
The first wedding fashion trend we saw at New York Bridal Fashion Week was bows. Bridal designers are adding bow details to their wedding dresses in very fun and unique ways. From bows on the back of the dress to an accent bow at the waistline and even bow bridal accessories, this is a very popular element that we expect to see more of in upcoming bridal fashion.

Bridal Fashion Trend: Basque Waistline
The next trending element in new bridal designs is a basque waistline. This style waistline is very flattering when used in wedding dresses and is similar to a corset style bodice, but extends a bit lower past the hops for a more triangular shape at the bottom of the bodice.

Bridal Fashion Trend 3: Bold Floral Lace
The next trending design element in bridal fashion is bold floral lace. Now lace is always popular and trending in bridal, particular for timeless and classic bridal looks. The spin on the classic trend is now big and bold floral patterns that create unique and feminine bridal styles.

Bridal Fashion Trend 4: Portrait Neckline
The next bridal fashion trend we loved seeing is wedding dresses with a portrait neckline, particularly with attached off the shoulders straps or long sleeves. A portrait neckline can be very flattering for many brides as it sweeps from shoulder to shoulder but has a bit more flair than a traditional strapless bridal gown.

Bridal Fashion Trend 5: Mini Bridal Dresses
The next wedding fashion trend is one that has been around for a bit and is only growing in popularity. That trend is mini bridal dresses and we love how much fun bridal designers are having with these short wedding dresses. Mini bridal dresses are perfect for a reception bridal outfit, wedding after party or even your rehearsal dinner. They often have a lot of fun design elements like beading or pops of color and many of the dresses below incorporate other trending bridal fashion elements like silver beading, feathers and bows.

Bridal Fashion Trend 6: Silver Beading
The next wedding fashion trend we want to show you is silver beading. Now this trending element can be a bit controversial as some brides think these dresses can appear too dark or even grey looking. Remember that bridal gowns look very different on the hanger than on a bride's body, so we could encourage you to try on a dress before making up your mind. Silver beading can add a bit more dimension to a white dress, which might work for brides who want a little drama in their wedding dress.

Bridal Fashion Trend 7: Feathers
The next wedding fashion trend is another design element that can be met with mixed feelings and that is wedding dresses with feathers. Now we know this is not a trend for all brides, but it can add a really fun element to a wedding dress. We particularly love feathers in a reception bridal dress for a playful bridal style.
